SyncCal provides a method for sharing iOS calendars, such as Exchange calendars, via Google Calendar with others. This can be useful in scenarios such as sharing your work schedule with family members. The app also offers a privacy option: instead of uploading detailed event information, users can choose to upload only empty events, allowing recipients to see the general timing of events without revealing sensitive details.

To use SyncCal, simply install the application, log in with your Google Calendar account, select the calendars you wish to sync, and tap "Start." The app then duplicates the chosen calendars into new Google Calendar entries. Additionally, the synchronization process can include your iOS birthday calendar, transferring these into Google Calendar as well.

This version of SyncCal is a lightweight iteration. For enhanced features such as automatic background synchronization based on location or scheduled intervals, the full version is available for purchase. The full version allows configuration to automatically sync when you leave specific locations, such as your workplace—simply activate the "Sync when leaving this place" setting while at work. SyncCal will then record your location and perform automatic synchronization upon departure.
